Theodore Wirth was superintendent of Minneapolis parks from 1906 until 1935. Wirth immigrated to the United States from Switzerland at the age of 25. Theodore Wirth Park is the largest park in the Minneapolis park system and features natural treasures and year-round activities such as: hiking, biking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, and golf.
