    What is Giclée?

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay"), otherwise known as Inkjet printing, is the highest quality fine art reproduction available. The printing process involves the use of advanced computer technology, professional grade large format printers, archival inks, and acid-free archival papers. It is a method that draws on 10 inks to create a fluid finish and incredible resolution.

    What is a Limited Edition?

Limited edition prints have a limited assigned number of prints that will be produced and numbered in that specific format. Sales and ownership records of each numbered edition are recorded and archived. The same image may be used in open editions, but they must be printed in a completely different format from the Limited Edition.

    What is an Open Edition?

An open edition is a series of identical prints that may be printed in unlimited numbers and formats.

What is the advantage of Giclée Prints compared to other fine art reproduction techniques?

Giclée prints are created with specially formulated archival pigmented inks which can provide greater longevity than those used in lithography or silkscreen prints. Giclée prints are smudge-proof and waterproof, though water will leave a stain on the paper. Giclée prints should be framed behind glass and handled with care and caution. Under normal lighting conditions, our inks will not show noticeable fading for at least 200 years. Although, it is not recommended by ink and media manufacturers that prints be exposed to direct sunlight, especially for long periods of time.
