Piermont is on the west side of the Hudson River in Rockland County, only 20 minutes by car from the George Washington Bridge. "For a village of less than a square mile, with about 2,500 people, Piermont has a disproportionate number of spectacular features. Shaped like the letter Y, it hugs the face of the northern Palisades and juts for a mile along a pier that was once used by river barges." NYT
